Cheese Capsicum Stuffed Buns. 

During this quarantine timing, I tried to play with my passion of baking. I made Cheese Stuffed Capsicum Buns using more of wheat flour. I tried to create version of stuffing according to individual choices. My daughter likes cheese, so I prepared stuffing using cheese with capsicum and schezwan chutney.

Here you can create your own versions of stuffing and enjoy these buns in breakfast, evening snacks with tea time or at any time.





Preparation Time : 5 to 6 hours

For Dough :

  • Whole wheat flour 3/4 cup
  • Maida (All purpose flour) 3/4 cup
  • Salt 1 Teaspoon
  • Sugar 1 1/2 Teaspoon
  • Yeast 1 Teaspoon
  • Milk 1/2 Cup 
  • Oil 2 Tablespoon
  • Butter 1 Teaspoon
For Stuffing :


  • Paneer Cottage cheese 150 gm
  • Capsicum green chopped 1 Tablespoon
  • Bell pepper Red chopped 1 Tablespoon
  • Onion Chopped 1 Tablespoon
  • Ginger chopped 1 Teaspoon
  • Garlic chopped 1 Teaspoon
  • Green chilly chopped 1 Teaspoon
  • Cumin seeds 1 teaspoon
  • Schezwan Sauce 1 Tablespoon
  • Oil 1 Teaspoon
  • Salt according to taste  
Procedure :  

  • Take 1/2 of the milk lukewarm it, mix sugar and dry active yeast. keep it in a warm place for 20 mins. you will find yeast frothing 
  • Now in a bowl add fortune yeast along with salt, 1 tbs of oil, 1/2 cup of maida, !/2 cup of whole wheat flour and remaining milk. Mix all ingredients and keep aside for 30 mins.

  • After 30 mins on a clean surface dust the remaining flour, 1 tbs of oil and the flour mixture we made. Now knead all together for 15 to 20 minutes or till you get a smooth and elastic dough.

  • In a bowl apply oil and rest the dough in bowl for 2 hours, Cover it with a wet cloth of clean film. After 2 hours you will see that the dough is double in size.
  • While the dough is resting lets prepare our stuffing,
  • In a pan add oil once oil is hot add cumin seeds, chopped ginger and garlic sauce it 
  • Now add chopped green chillies and onions. cook it for 2 minutes or till you get a light pink colour of onions
  • Now add capsicum and chopped bell peppers sauce it for 2 mins now add schezwan sauce and salt to this.
  • Now add paneer to this . cook it for 2 to 3 minutes .. now transfer this sabji or stuffing in a bowl and keep aside. 

  • Now you can see that your dough is ready. So take a baking dish apply oil to it. Divide your dough into eight equal parts. Take one portion flat it with the help of your finger or rolling pin. keep the stuffing in middle as shown in a video. Now fold it and seal all the corners as shown in video. You can make a ball shape also according to your wish. keep this in a baking dish. Make sure that the buns are having some space in between


  • Repeat the steps with rest of the dough
  • Once all the buns are ready apply some milk of oil on it and cover the baking dish with clean film and keep it aside for 20 minutes 

  • Now preheat the oven for 5 to 7 minutes
  • Place the baking dish in oven for 15 -20 minutes on 120 degree . after 15 minutes do check if the buns are ready and having a nice brown colour on it then switch off the oven but let the buns stay in oven for 4 to 5 minutes . 

  • Once it is done take out the baking dish apply butter on all sides of the bun .. serve it with tea or coffee ...

Dalgona Coffee

Dalgona Coffee 

This coffee has taken over twitter and instagram during the lockdown. It has given people an excuse to enter their kitchens and boast about it to the world. Originated in Indian subcontinent and made popular by a South Korean actor, this recipe is no new news to us. This trend and social pressure made me travel to my childhood where I would use the same recipe as a homemade substitute of CCD's thick, foamy and creamy coffees. So, I hope you would use this recipe to satisfy the trendy norms on social media, use it as an excuse to feel nostalgic or simply to quench your thirst for coffee as a coffee lover.






Serves : 2

Preparation Time : 5 to 7 min

Cooking Time : 0 Min

Ingredients : 


  • Instant coffee 2 Tsp
  • Sugar 2 Tsp or according to taste
  • Water 2 Tbsp
  • Milk 1 1/2 cup (chilled)
  • Few Ice cubes
  • Some Choco chips for garnishing (optional)


Procedure : 
  • In a bowl add sugar, coffee and water 

  • With the help of whipper whip it. Till you get a creamy and frothy texture 

  • Now take a serving glass add ice cubes, pour milk till 3/4 of the glass top it with whipped coffee


  • Add some Choco chip . mix it well and enjoy .... 



Tips :  
  • If you don't have whipper you can simply whisk it with your hand. manually it is time taking and tiering work. but once in a while its ok
  • You can add sugar according to your taste
  • It can be serve Cold as well as Hot .. the way you like ....

Focaccia Bread @Home

Focaccia Bread





Coronavirus is costing us our lives, mental health and our travel time but this is an opportunity to make the most out of these 21 days. While social distancing and lockdown had me bored out of my mind, my hobbies and friends came out as my saviours. Since my childhood, I had thought of joining baking classes, given the situation a class seemed less probable, that's when my friend Preeti Tandon Sridhar helped me out. She mentored me and helped me in baking different kinds of bread. She prefers healthy Baking so mostly she uses wheat flour for cakes and cookies. You can check her blog Cakes &Curries for amazing recipes. After 15 days of practice and failed attempts of baking I managed to make a bread that now confident to share with you.

Quarantined within 4 walls and not satisfying our usual living style of enjoying pizza, garlic bread and Focaccia bread tends to make us frustrated. So use this recipe, sit with a Focaccia bread and find solace amidst the mess this world is in.

Preparation Time : 5 to 6 hours

Cooking Time : 20 -25 min

Ingredients :

  • Maida (all purpose flour ) 1 1/2 cup
  • Milk 3/4 cup
  • Sugar 1 tsp
  • Salt 1tsp
  • Oil 2 Tbsp (I used olive oil)
  • Active dry yeast 1 tsp
  • Butter 1 tbs
  • Pizza seasoning 2 tsp
  • Chilly Flakes 1tsp
  • Onion sliced 12 -15 slices
  • Red bell pepper sliced 10 -12 slices
  • Olives 2 -3 sliced
  • JalapeƱos chopped 1 tsp

Procedure :

  • Now in a bowl add fortune yeast along with salt, 1 tbs of oil, 1tsp pizza seasoning, chilly flakes, 1 cup of maida and remaining milk. Mix all ingredients and keep aside for 30 mins.

  • After 30 mins on a clean surface dust the remaining flour, 1 tbs of oil and the flour mixture we made. Now knead all together for 15 to 20 minutes or till you get a smooth and elastic dough. 

  • Once the dough is ready take a baking dish. I used the round one. Oil the dish nicely and place the dough on it spread the dough and apply oil on the dough. Cover the dish with wet clothe or clean film and keep it aside for 2 hours 

  • Now you will find the dough has doubled in size. Use your fingers and press it firmly. Place sliced onions, bell peppers, olives, jalepenos and pizza seasoning. Again cover it with clean film and leave it for 30 mins. 


  • Now pre-heat the oven for 5 mins and bake your focaccia for 25-30 mins at 120 degree temperature. Once you see nice brown colour of bread, power off oven and leave it in oven for 5 mins. Take it out and brush with butter and serve it.

Cranberry Chocolate Bar

This recipe is dedicated to all women: It is an acknowledgment of their sacrifices and a reminder that they are not alone, no matter what. This women's day feel the pride in overcoming all the discriminatory obstacles you faced, reward yourself for not giving up despite the "rules" of your society. Pamper yourself with this recipe, let the white chocolate bring you the comfort of a break and familiarity of love. Cranberry is known for its health benefits and is hence considered a super food. Today leave the restraints of an independent working woman or a dedicated homemaker behind and be a woman, an individual who is not someone's daughter, mother or sister but someone. This women's day, ladies keep your heels, head and standards high.






Preparation Time : 10 - 15 min

Cooking Time : 1 - 2 min

Ingredients : 

  • White chocolate compound 250 gm
  • Cranberry dried 100 gm
  • Pistachio nuts sliced 1 tbs
  • Rose petals 10 -15
  • Rose essence 2 -3 drops
  • Butter paper 1 sheet



Procedure :  

  • Chop white chocolate compound and keep aside 


  • In a bowl take dried cranberry, rose petals and sliced pistachio nuts 


  • Now melt the chocolate . for this you can use microwave or double boiler whatever is easy for you . make sure chocolate is not overcooked.
  • I used microwave so keep chopped chocolate in microwave for 1 minute on 600 temp. Now take out the bowl and mix the chocolate if it is as smooth as shown in picture then its fine. Otherwise keep it in microwave for 30 secs. Once you get a smooth texture add a 2 to 3 drops of rose essence and mix it again.  


  • Now take a butter paper sheet spread it 

  • Pour the chocolate mixture on sheet. 

  • sprinkle pistachio nuts, cranberry and rose petals 


  • Keep this in refrigerator for 5 to 10 minutes. Once it is set Cut it into desired shape 


  • Enjoy and pamper yourself
