Fruit Yogurt

Fruit Yogurt - Healthy, Creamy, Full of taste  

Time to say bye bye to winters and to welcome summers. Very confusing time for parents. Kids want ice-cream, parents are cautious and advising kids to wait for the right time to come.

This option of Fruit Yogurt is having all the yummi-ness of ice-cream. To make it more colorful, attractive and content rich, I have added fruits like kiwi, strawberry, cherry and hidden almonds so our kids are getting enough nutrition.

This can be a great option to treat your guests and yourself during fasting days. So enjoy and spread love and happiness around...





Preparation Time : 10 Min and 2 Hours for resting

Cooking Time : 0 Min

Ingredients : 



  • 400 gm curd 
  • 1 Tablespoon icing sugar
  • Few drops vanilla essence 
  • Cut fruits (I used Kiwi and strawberry)
  • Sliced almonds 1/2 tablespoon
  • Few cherries for garnishing 
Procedure : 
  • Take curd in muslin cloth and hung it in a cool and dry place for 2 hours. So that all the extra water gets removed 



  • Take fruits wash then and chop them

  • In a bowl take hung curd whisk it for 3 to 4 minutes



  • Now add icing sugar and 4 to 5 drops of vanilla essence to hung curd and whisk it 


  • Now add sliced almonds to this and mix it well


  • Take a serving glass add chopped fruits top it with hung curd mixture 



  • Garnish with cherry and fruits 


  • Keep it in refrigerator to make it chilled 

  • Enjoy with your friends and family ...



Tip :  You can add fruits according to your taste

Sabudana Khichdi

Sabudana Khichdi 

I have been eating this dish through out the year during my childhood. However, during winters my mom used to make a variant that we used to enjoy in breakfast with hot cup of tea. Giving below recipe of this variant where I have added green peas, potatoes, peanuts and other spices.

Preparation Time : 10 Min

Resting Time : Overnight

Cooking Time : 15 Min

Ingredients :


  • 1 Bowl Sabudana (Sago) washed and soaked for 15 Minutes and then take it out into the strainer so that all the water gets removed and allow this to rest overnight covered with wet cloth
  • 1 Boiled potato cut into pieces 
  • 1/2 cup green peas
  • 1 Tablespoon peanuts
  • 1 Teaspoon jeera
  • Pinch of Hing
  • 1/2 Tea spoon haldi powder 
  • 2 Green chillies chopped
  • Red chilly powder according to taste
  • Salt according to taste
  • 2 Table spoon coriander chopped
  • 1 Tea spoon sugar
  • 1 Table spoon lemon juice 
  • 2 Table spoon oil
Procedure : 
  • Take a pan add oil heat it then add zeera and hing to this

  • Now add Peanuts and cook for minute or two

  • Then add green peas saute it for 3 to 4 minutes, now put boiled potatoes to this and cook for 3 to 4 minutes




  • Once green peas and potatoes are cooked, add haldi, red chilly, green chilly and salt



  • Now add sabudana to this, mix it well, cover with lid and cook for 3 to 4 minutes




  • Add sugar, lemon juice and coriander leaves and enjoy

Sabudana Chila (Sago Pan Cake)



Sabudana chila is a perfect fasting food. It is consist of sago, potato, crunchy peanuts, spicy green chilly and coriander leaves.... even if you are not fasting you can enjoy this in a breakfast....

Preparation Time : 20 Min

Cooking Time : 20 Min

Ingredients :

  • Sago 11/2 cups (soak in enough water for 3 to 4 hours)
  • Boiled potatoes 1 medium size
  • Roasted and crushed peanuts 1 cup
  • 1 Teaspoon cumin seeds
  • Coriander leaves chopped 2 tablespoon
  • Singhada ka atta 1 cup ( water-chestnut flour)
  • Sendha salt or normal salt according to taste
  • Oil for cooking
Procedure :
  • First of all soak the sago in enough water for 3 to 4 hours and drain out the excess water.
  • In a mixer just add soaked sago, green chillies, coriander with half cup of water 

  • Now boil , peel and grate  the potato
  • In a blow mix grated potato, roasted and crushed peanuts, cumin seeds, salt, singhade ka atta.and sabudana mixture mix all ingredients nicely and form a smooth paste

  • Now take a non sticky pan or nicely seasoned pan apply little oil to it now pour a batter on this and form a chila shape
  • Now cover this with lid so that it is cooked with steam . now apply oil and turn this

  • Apply little oil to both the side  cook nicely till it is brown from both the side.

  • Sabudana chila is ready serve it with side dish, curd, chutney or with a cup of tea ......
