Easy Cheesy Pasta

Our children love pasta and so does my daughter. However she prefers to eat white sauce pasta, however it needs making white sauce which sometimes turn into a messy affair. Hence I created a faster and easy way out by using cheese and milk and created alternate "Easy Cheesy Pasta". Hope your children will love this too....






Preparation Time : 15 Min

Cooking Time : 5 -7 Min

Serves : 2

Ingredients :



  • 1 Bowl boiled pasta (I used macaroni pasta, you can even use penne or bow)
  • 1 1/2 Teaspoon butter
  • 1 Teaspoon chopped garlic
  • 2 Tablespoon chopped green and red pepper
  • 2 Tablespoon Sweet corn
  • Salt according to taste
  • Chilly flakes according to your taste
  • 1/2 Cup milk
  • 1 Cheese slice
  • 2 Tablespoon Pizza cheese (mozzarella cheese)
Procedure :
  • Boil pasta and keep it aside

  • Finish all cutting and chopping
  • In a pan take butter along with few drops of oil, add chopped garlic to this and cook for a minute




  • Now add green and red pepper and saute for a minute



  • Now add sweet corn to this and cook for a minute

  • Add salt and chilly flakes along with cooked pasta and cook for a minute or two





  • Now add milk to this, as you see that milk start boiling add cheese slice and mozzarella cheese to this and cook for a minute. When you find that sauce is getting thick close the gas and serve it hot ...











Tip : You can use vegetable of your choice. You can add carrot, beans, bell pepper .... etc

Onion Kachori (Deep fried Indian onion bread)

Onion Kachori

This is a special Indian delicacy which is deep fried, enjoyed with friends and family usually in breakfast. It is the specialty of places like Indore and Rajasthan. I made it with my twist of onion with peanuts giving it same taste but added crunch.

Cooking Time : 20 Min

Ingredients :

For Dough :

  • 1 Cup all purpose flour (Maida)
  • 1/2 Teaspoon Carom seeds (ajwain) 
  • Salt according to taste
  • 1/4 Teaspoon of baking soda
  • Ghee/Oil 2 Tablespoon
  • Water as needed


For Filling :

  • 2 Tablespoon dry roasted gram flour (besan)
  • 2 Onion sliced
  • 1 Tablespoon chopped ginger, garlic
  • 2 Chopped green chillies
  • 2 Tablespoon chopped coriander
  • 1 Tablespoon roasted and crushed peanuts (optional)
  • 1 Teaspoon Fennel seeds (saunf)
  • Pinch of asafoetida (hing)
  • 1 Teaspoon garam masala powder
  • 2 bay leaves
  • 1 Teaspoon dry mango powder
  • Salt according to taste
  • Red chilly powder according to taste
  • 1 Tablespoon oil
Oil for frying

Procedure :

For dough : 
  • In a bowl sieve the flour, salt and baking soda together. Add carom seeds and oil to this. Now rub the flour mixture between your palms to get bread crumb texture




  • Knead the soft dough with water. cover it with moist cloth and keep it aside
For Filling :
  • In a pan dry roast besan and keep aside. 
  • Take a pan Heat oil in it add hing, fennel seeds and bay leaves

  • Now add chopped ginger garlic to this, saute this for a minute, add chopped green chillies and sliced onions. Cook onions for 4 to 5 minutes or till it is translucent in colour




  • Now add chilly powder, garam masala powder and salt to this and cook for a minute



  • Now add besan to this and cook on low flame till all the moisture is gone and you can smell nice aroma



  • Once this is cooked add roasted crushed peanuts to this and cook for a minute. peanuts give a crunchy taste to your kachori

  • Now add dry mango powder and chopped coriander leaves, mix it and remove from the flame

  • Let the mixture cool for some time and remove the bay leaves for mixture 

  • Take the flour dough and make 12 to 14 balls. Take a ball flatten it as shown in picture


  • Place a little filling in the centre and bring the edges together to form a ball as shown in picture

  • Now Flatten it slightly as shown in picture



  • Heat oil in kadai. fry kachories on slow flame till it is cooked properly and golden brown from both the sides




  • Repeat the steps for rest of kachories 

  • Your Onion Kachori is ready enjoy this with a chutney and a cup of tea

Crispy Sweet Potato Patties

Sweet Potato is a very versatile veggie it can be used in various forms in cooking as well as it has lots of nutritious value. As it is a good source of vitamin B6, C, D, rich in Iron, Magnesium and Potassium  but we use it very less in Indian cooking. So today I tried to serve all the goodness of sweet potato in crispy patties, which really turn out very yummy .... Traditionally we eat it in roasted form only as chaat with chutney, you may try this to improve its intake




Preparation Time : 15 Min

Cooking Time : 15 Min

Ingredients : (For 10-12 patties)



  • 2 Medium size sweet potato grated
  • 2 Tablespoon Chopped spring onion
  • 2 Tablespoon Chopped spring onion greens
  • 1 Tablespoon chopped coriander 
  • 2 Green chilly chopped
  • 2 Tablespoon Rice flour
  • 1 Tablespoon corn flour
  • Salt according to taste
  • 1 Teaspoon chilly flakes
  • 2 Tablespoon oil for cooking

Procedure :
  • First take sweet potato wash and clean nicely then grate it. I used sweet potato with skin so that I get the fibre content of sweet potato as well



  • Wash this grated sweet potato with water so that the extra starch is removed. Now squeeze all the water from this properly and keep it in a bowl 



  • Finish all cutting and chopping
  • Now take a bowl add grated sweet potato make sure that all the water is removed, add all other ingredients to this i.e. chopped onions, onions greens, coriander, green chilly, rice flour, corn flour, chilly flakes and salt. Mix it well and form a mixture as shown in picture







  • Take a sweet potato mixture in your palm as shown in picture, make a small patty of this mixture


  • In non sticky pan take oil, heat it and shallow fry these patties on medium flame



  • Cook these patties from both sides till it is cooked properly and crispy from both the sides


  • Repeat these steps with rest of the mixture
  • Sweet potato crispy patties are ready serve it along with chutney of your choice 


Tip : Try to make patties thin. the more it is thin it will be cooked nicely and crispy
