Cottage Cheese Bread Pakora

Sunday morning, perfect time to enjoy leisure with little bit of extravagancy on calories. This time I made these Bread Pakoras filled with cottage cheese, mint chutney, Potatoes etc. to delight my lazy spouse and daughter. My secret plan was to fill their tummies for long so that I can shop till late afternoon in the mall...



Preparation time : 20 Min

Cooking Time : 15 Min

Ingredients :


  • 8 Bread slice (I used brown bread)
  • 2 to 3 Boiled potatoes grated
  • 1 Tablespoon chopped onion
  • 2 Green chilly chopped
  • 1 Tablespoon chopped coriander
  • 1 Tea spoon dry mango powder (aamchur)
  • Salt according to taste
  • Red chilly powder according to taste
  • 200 gram Paneer (cut in long slice)
  • 4 Tablespoon green chutney 
  • 1 Cup gram flour (besan) for batter
  • 1/2 Teaspoon ajwain 
  • Oil for frying

Procedure :

For Batter :
  • In a bowl take besan, add salt, chilly powder, ajwain and add some water to this to form a free flowing mixture as shown in picture






For Bread Pakora :
  • In another bowl take grated boiled potatoes add chopped onion, green chilly, coriander, salt, red chilly powder,  dry mango powder and mix all well








  • Now take a bread slice, apply green chutney on it as shown in picture, spread some potato mixture on this and place a thin and long slice of paneer



  • Now take another bread slice apply green chutney on it and place this bread slice on the previous one as shown in picture and press it so that both the bread slices stick to each other and the filling do not come outside


  • Repeat these steps with rest of the bread slices and keep them aside
  • Heat oil for deep frying 
  • Take one bread pakora, dip it into batter carefully and leave it into pan for frying







  • Fry bread pakora from both sides on medium flame till it is cooked thoroughly
  • Take out bread pakora on paper napkin so that all excess oil gets removed 


  • Cut bread pakora and serve with a ht cup of tea ....

Triple Sundae Sandwich

Triple Sundae Sandwich



Sandwiches can be enjoyed any time. It is all time favourite. But let's give our normal sandwich an amazing make over by adding layers and colours to it. Triple Sundae Sandwich is a layer sandwiched with an amazing combination of different  chutneys and veggies like capsicum, tomatoes and onions.

Preparation Time : 10 min

Cooking Time :  10 min

Ingredients :

 For outer covering (gram flour coating)

  • 1 Cup gram flour 
  • 1 Teaspoon ajwain 
  • Salt according to taste
  • Red chilly powder according to taste
For Sandwich :


  • 8 Slices of brown bread
  • 1 onion cut in round
  • 1 Tomato cut in slice
  • 1 Capsicum cut in round slice
  • 1 Tablespoon green chutney
  • 1 Tablespoon imli ki chutney
  • 1 Tablespoon tomato sauce
  • 8 Toothpicks
  • Oil for frying
Procedure :

  • First of all in a bowl take gram flour, ajwain, salt, red chilly powder mix all ingredients nicely with around 1 cup of water to form a thick batter

  • Now take four brown bread slices. On fist bread apply imli chutney, then on second one apply green chutney, and on third apply tomato sauce

  • Now place the round slice of onions on the first slice, capsicum on the second and tomato on the third one
  • Time to assemble all bread slices on each other. First the bread slice with onions, then with capsicum then with the tomato and finally cover it with the fourth bread slice

  • Press all the slices slightly and apply toothpick on all the four sides of the sandwich so that it should not get opened up
  • In a pan heat the oil for deep frying. Dip the sandwich in batter and deep fry till it is cooked from both the sides nicely

  • Once it is done take it out on paper napkin so that extra oil is removed. Take out the toothpick and cut the sandwich in four pieces  

  • Your special Triple Sundae Sandwich is ready. Enjoy it with a cup of tea. 


Tip : Try to use soft and fresh bread for this sandwich.

Non Fried Bread pakora

Non Fried Bread pakora 



We all love fried snacks. Bread pakora is all time favorite. But now a days we all are Living in a healthy eating and healthy cooking era. So fried is not an good option but still we want our bread pakora ..... What to do ??? No problem let's make it without frying it ..... My mom use to make this for us....

Preparation Time : 10 min

Cooking Time : 10 min

Ingredients : 


  • 2 Boiled and mashed potatoes
  • 8 Slice brown bread 
  • 1 Onion chopped
  • 2 Green chillies chopped
  • 2 tablespoon fresh coriander chopped
  • 1/2 Cup green chutney
  • 1 Teaspoon cumin seeds
  • 1 Teaspoon dry mango powder
  • Salt according to taste
  • Chilly powder according to taste
For Batter :


  • 2 Tablespoon gram flour ( besan)
  • 1 Tablespoon rice flour
  • Water as required
  • 1 Teaspoon ajwain seed (carom seeds)
  • Salt according to taste 
  • Red chilly powder according to taste


For Cooking :
  • Cooking oil 2 tablespoon
Procedure :
  • In a bowl prepare a mixture for bread pakora. For that take a potato,  onion, cumin seed, green chillies, coriander, red chilly powder, dry mango powder and mix it we'll and keep aside


  • Now for batter take another bowl  add gram flour, rice flour, salt , chilly powder and ajwain seeds mix it nicely and now add water to this mixture  and prepare a smooth. Batter


  • Now take a bread slices apply green chutney on one side of bread slice now place a potato mixture on this bread slice cover it with another bread slice . Press it nicely
  • Repeat this step with other bread slices also
  • Now take a non stick pan or tawa heat it apply little bit of oil to it . Now dip your bread pakora in a batter cover it nicely place it on tawa cook it on low flame from all side nicely


  • Repeat this step with all other bread pakoras


  • Your non fried bread pakora is ready serve it hot with a cup of tea and enjoy monsoon ........
